If you’re a photographer, Florida Southern College is one of the great undiscovered shoot locations. It’s architecture is well-known, but it’s also fantastic for portraits and high fashion shoots.
The Florida Southern College campus in Lakeland, Florida, is almost pastoral in setting. That’s a bit of contrast with it’s architecture, much of it designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It’s a very futuristic-looking place, and you can find just about any themed setting you’re looking for, including edgy, architectural, botanical and more. The photo above was shot in the middle of April in HDR, giving the campus an unusual, space-age sort of look. This shot reminds me of a Star Wars Imperial Cruiser firing a photon torpedo!
